Real workers. Real recovery. The lives your support helps rebuild.

"From a life-altering accident to a restored future."
My name is Vinod Halagekar from Khanapur Taluk, Belagavi District. I have been working as a construction worker for nearly 15 years. While returning home on my two-wheeler after completing work one day, I met with a severe road accident and sustained critical injuries to my leg. I was admitted to Vijay Ortho Hospital in Belagavi, where doctors provided emergency treatment and helped stabilize my condition. However, due to the seriousness of the injury, I lost my left leg above the foot by nearly 10 inches.
The doctors informed me that I would not be able to walk normally again and would require an artificial limb for mobility. Until the accident, I had been the primary earning member supporting my family through daily labour work. After losing my leg, I became physically, emotionally, and financially distressed, fearing that I would no longer be able to support my family.
During this difficult period, Mr. Satish Kumbar, who serves as a “Karmik Mitra” in our Gram Panchayat, informed me about the welfare support available for registered construction workers and introduced me to Karmik Kalyan Abhivruddhi Sansthe. Even in my absence, the organization extended full support and guided my family through the assistance process.
The organization's representatives personally visited my home, encouraged me emotionally, and assured me that I still had opportunities to rebuild my life. With their support, I received medical reimbursement assistance, a UDID disability card, and access to disability pension benefits provided through welfare schemes.
Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, I now face life with greater confidence and hope. I remain deeply grateful to the organization for standing by me during one of the most difficult phases of my life and helping restore my dignity and stability.

"From a fall on site to leading worker-safety awareness."
My name is Siddhu Baghewadi, from Bailhongal Taluk, Belagavi District. I have been working as a construction worker for nearly eight years. One day, I met with a serious accident after falling from the top of a building at a construction site, resulting in a severe leg injury. I was admitted to Vijay Ortho Hospital in Belagavi, where doctors treated me and helped me recover. However, they informed me that my leg would never function the same way again.
Until then, I had spent my life working hard to support my family, sacrificing many personal dreams and comforts. After the accident, I became deeply worried about my future and feared that I would no longer be able to work or support my family. The emotional and financial stress affected my confidence and mental well-being.
At that difficult stage, my elder brother informed me about the medical reimbursement support available for registered construction workers and introduced me to Karmik Kalyan Abhivruddhi Sansthe. The organization's team understood my situation, guided me through the support process, and encouraged me not to lose hope.
With their assistance, I received medical reimbursement support, a UDID disability card, and access to disability pension benefits available through welfare schemes. The organization also helped me secure employment as a site supervisor in a construction project.
Today, despite undergoing two surgeries, I continue to work confidently and earn a monthly income of ₹9,000. I now volunteer with the organization to create awareness among workers about workplace safety and accident prevention.
I remain deeply grateful to the organization for helping me rebuild my confidence, livelihood, and life.

We do not run charity — we restore dignity. Every labor card we secure, every classroom we open, every mother who finds her livelihood is proof that change begins where someone refuses to look away.
